The Polarized lens can block 100% harmful UV rays from the sun. Also, the GM polarized lenses contain a special filter that block types of intense reflected light, reducing glare. What glare happens? It happens when waves of light bounce off reflected surfaces, such as water, snowy hillside, and things with shiny surfaces.

The glare with two kinds of waves, vertical wave, and horizontal wave. If anything is vertical or eyes like we can see，it pretty clearly; anything that’s off vertical, especially horizontal, is very bright. It comes off as being glare and bad for the eyes. A lot of that comes in reflected surfaces, so polarized sunglasses stop the horizontal wave and allow the vertical wave, which gives us a much clearer picture.
